"Moss"

****** LATEST AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION FOR STEADFAST BORDER COLLIES - AGED 11.5 MONTHS ******
What a pinch me hard and quick and wake me up moment: maybe Moss is not the only one in this kennel having a "dream" moment!!!!!!!!!!!
We entered the Romsey Championship Show at Bulla on 8/10/23 in the attempt to gain some points towards Moss's Aust CH title. However never did I think in my wildest dreams, that would he gain enough points to accumulate those needed to qualify for the title of AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION and from the Puppy class, and before his 1 year birthday!!
But what better way to do this with a
BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP 5 and BEST PUPPY IN GROUP 5 under Judge Mr Ralph Zeeman
converting that to:
BEST PUPPY IN SHOW under Judge Mr Arthur Fry
Along the way he has had some HUGE wins including PUPPY OF BREED at Adelaide Royal 2023 and MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW at Working Dog Club of SA and MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW and RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG at the Border Collie Club of SA, obviously in esteemed company.

"Another promising puppy, 6.5 months, of good breed type and well proportioned. Muzzle and skull of equal length, broad and flat between the ears, oval eye. Good length of neck flowing through to a level topline, croup a little steep. Forequarter and hindquarter well angulated. On the move this puppy was balanced and covered the ground well, sound out and back. MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW"

"Moss" wins a lovely Best Baby Puppy in Group at his very first outing at Bunyip Champ show.
He followed it up with a Best Minor Puppy in Group at his second cluster of shows at Colac KC Inc - 30/4/23 (and a lovely Reserve Dog Challenge at 6 months of age).
May 2023:
Since then, Moss has added to his lovely total with an amazing Best Minor Puppy in show at the Border Collie Champ Show of South Australia, ably handled by my good friend Clare Van Der Wolde (who offered to take him and his kennel mate Essex to Adelaide for me).
The next day he backed it up again with a fantastic Best Minor Puppy in Show at the Border Collie Speciality at Adelaide! On the journey to this award, he also earned himself a Reserve Challenge against much older and titled dogs.
We attended Bulla on 20/5/23 where Moss got his very first points, aged 7 months with a BEST OF BREED at the AM show and then a RU Best of Breed and a MINOR PUPPY IN GROUP. What a great start for his points tally for this handsome, mature 7 month old!!!!
